  I was lucky enough to pass the first time, but only because they skipped the parallel parking part! Shortly after I got my license, I hit 2 parked cars and a mailbox (not all on the same day)

  Boyfriend gone to GTA :(

  what is with you boys and your video games?

  my boyfriend was first in line last night to get his grand theft auto-san andreas that he prepayed for in may and has been talking about for months.. i won't talk to him for like a month.. anyone know the average age when guys are supposed to grow out of this?.

  i'm going through a time when so many things seem to be going wrong.. doesn't it seem as though it never rains, it pours?.

  i know the skeptics will roll their eyes at this suggestion: i think that sometimes things happen this way for a reason, and that when we successfully get through it, we are so much stronger.. what do you think about the idea that trials sometimes come along for a reason?.

  Privelage of driving the Field Service car

  i seem to recall when i was in dubland, i couldn't drive my car around in field service because i wasn't baptized.

  was there any printed direction on this, or was it just a "said" dub policy?

  Yes, I remember this. I think it was that you just weren't spiritual enough if you weren't baptized. It was more of an unwritten rule, at least I don't remember any magazine or publication stating this.

  Also, all of the two-door car owners were frowned upon. My dad made sure he had the top of the line mini-vans to impress the elders on how serviceable he was. Of course the elders always had cadillacs.

  for me it was the realization that there was no "faithful & discreet slave", that all the prophecies "proving" that jehovah's witnesses are the only religion approved by god is bogus and the realization that this is a "cult" and there is no real normal sense of love and affection in the "truth".

  When I dared to venture outside of the JW's for friendship, I met two non-JW Christians who were absolutely kind and unconditionally loving. They were spiritually content and beautiful people. It finally clicked that JW's couldn't POSSIBLY be the only ones to be "saved" and it just snowballed from there.

  Also, it helped to discover the internet. You rotten apostates you!

  I have many girl friends who are GTA and Everquest widows

  Andi, thanks. Do you suppose there are any support group websites for these type of widows? I looked, but couldn't find any! LOL, maybe I should start one...

  Jahna, I know! I've tried! I just can't seem to get the coordination right to play those things. I wasn't born with a controller in my hand like my man, and I try to play, but I just lack the hand-eye coordination. Of course maybe I would be better at it if it was like Uzzah said...LOL!

  i use to be afraid of the dark.i would feel the ___presence__of unseen things.

  creepy stuff.. but, when i became agnostic and left all things religious behind me a very strange side effect took place in my life.

  just this: nothing makes me afraid anymore!.
